The 1999 game on new code, running on your graphics card as fast as it will go.

The game draws on your GPU, with ray-traced lighting and shadows.
Frame rate
Set your own limit, or switch the limit off. VSync is optional.
Your copy, unchanged
It plays the game from your own install and changes nothing in it.

Updated graphics

Each effect has its own switch, and the original 1999 graphics are still available. Drag to compare.

A cobbled corridor with displacement on High: each cobble stands up from the mortar and catches the light The same cobbled corridor with displacement off: the stones painted flat on the floor
Displacement gives flat brick and stone real depth. Shown on High, the top setting.
The corridor with ray-traced lighting: the ceiling falls into shadow The same corridor with the original 1999 lighting
Ray-traced lighting and shadows.
The corridor with ambient occlusion: corners and the ceiling’s underside darken The same corridor without ambient occlusion
Ambient occlusion darkens corners and creases where light can’t reach.
With depth of field: the Whitecloak sharp, the trees and the stream behind him softly blurred The same Whitecloak in Reeslin’s Forest without depth of field: everything equally sharp
Depth of field focuses on what you’re looking at and softens the rest, if you want it.

Weather

Clear skies, cloud, rain, storms, fog, snow and sandstorms.

Bots

They aim and react the way people do, at the skill you choose, and fill a server until enough people join.

Easy
Slower to react and turn, and their aim is loose.
Human-like
They play as a person does.
Hard
Quicker to react and turn, and better aimed.
Insane
They never miss.
Auto
Each side’s bots get harder or easier by how that side is doing.
Through the eyes of George, an Insane bot, against Human-like bots in the Coliseum.

Characters

Play as an Aes Sedai, a Forsaken, a Hound or a Whitecloak, and choose from eight colours for each of four parts of the outfit.
